Compugen strengthens its commitment to customer outcomes through responsible, future-ready practices.

[Richmond Hill, ON] December 9, 2025 — Compugen Inc., Canada’s largest privately-owned and operated Technology Ally, has renewed its 5-Star Changemaker Badge through the HP Amplify Impact program, reaffirming its leadership in sustainability and responsible technology practices. This recognition reflects the company’s continued progress across all five pillars of the program: Sustainability Strategy, Sustainability as a Business Opportunity, Planet, People, and Community.

The 5-Star designation represents the highest level of achievement within HP’s global sustainability program. For clients, it signals a partner that operates with measurable environmental impact, transparent practices, and a long-term commitment to building technology ecosystems that are both high-performing and responsible.

“Achieving the 5-Star Changemaker Badge again is meaningful because it reinforces the responsibility we have to our clients and communities,” said Harry Zarek, President + CEO, Compugen Inc. “Sustainability isn’t an add-on for us. It’s part of the way we design solutions, guide decisions, and help organizations move forward with confidence.”

Over the past year, Compugen advanced its sustainability agenda with meaningful milestones that support more circular, efficient, and community-minded outcomes for customers and partners. Recent achievements include:

  • Major environmental gains through waste diversion: From January to July 2025, Compugen prevented 168 metric tons of CO₂, saved 622 mature trees, conserved over 290,000 gallons of water, and cut 75,000 kWh of energy use, maintaining an average waste-diversion rate above 76 percent.

  • Expanded Green4Good impact and circular recovery: Green4Good recovered more than 225,000 kilograms of materials and avoided 85 metric tons of greenhouse gas emissions, resulting in a net reduction of 77 metric tons.

  • Strengthened community and global sustainability initiatives: Winterfest, Compugen's annual event that fosters community connections and opportunities for meaningful engagement, raised more than $30,000 for charities across Canada. Compugen also worked with the First Nations Health Authority and Green4Good to deliver refurbished technology to the Nunya Music Academy in rural Ghana with a refurbished computer lab, expanding local digital access.

These efforts build on Compugen’s long-standing Green on Purpose and Sustainable by Choice initiatives, which help organizations reduce waste, extend device lifecycles, and make responsible IT decisions that support both environmental goals and business outcomes.

“Every sustainability milestone we reach is rooted in teamwork and a shared belief that meaningful progress comes from steady, consistent action,” added Harry. “Our role is to support our clients as they pursue their own sustainability goals and create environments where responsible technology choices lead to measurable results.”

The HP Changemaker program empowers partners to embed sustainability into their operations, offerings, and community engagement. For organizations working with Compugen, this recognition reinforces the company’s ability to deliver technology solutions that reduce waste, strengthen circularity, and help clients reach their own sustainability and reporting goals.
