When we unveiled Compugen’s Industry Experience Center (IEC), our goal was to create a space for retailers to experiment with the future of connected retail. That vision continues to expand with new demos added regularly.
Responding to the growing popularity of Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology in retail, especially in Fashion and Apparel verticals, the latest addition to the IEC Demos is transaction-ready RFID checkout. Read-on or watch the video below to learn more:
Solution Overview
Built using Zebra’s RFID hardware and KC50 Android kiosk running Sitoo Point of Sale software, the RFID checkout is designed to operate in both associate-assisted or self-service modes. By automatically reading items as they’re placed on the counter, the solution eliminates manual scanning, shortens lines, and reduces walkouts, freeing staff to focus on service. Strength of antennas can be tuned to address retailer’s unique product mix and cash desk layout.
