Montreal Drive for Moisson Montréal
To mark the first anniversary of CPU’s acquisition, Compugen’s Montreal branch is conducting a drive to support Moisson Montréal, a local food bank dedicated to fighting hunger in the community.
Compugen has proudly supported Moisson Montréal for many years, and this year, in spirit to foster both growth and community impact, the Compugen-CPU team announced a special initiative in support of a cause close to their hearts, making an even greater impact together.
Snowsuit Fund Volunteering
In Ottawa, Compugen team members volunteered with the Snowsuit Fund, a local charity committed to providing winter clothing to children in need. The team helped distribute 318 snowsuits, ensuring kids stay warm as the cold season sets in.
SickKids Heat Wave Volleyball Tournament
The Compugen Tech Titans from Richmond Hill participated in the annual SickKids Heat Wave Volleyball Tournament, supporting the SickKids Foundation’s mission to improve children’s health. Their determination and sportsmanship were on full display as they not only won the game but also helped raise funds to support such an important cause. Additionally, the Green Team — known as the ‘Eco Warriors’ — contributed $2,000 to the event, proving their commitment to both athleticism and raising awareness for a noble cause.
The Rose of Sharon Support
Compugen’s Richmond Hill Community Builders organized internal events that resulted in collecting over 500 essential items and donating $5,000 to the
Rose of Sharon; the team is proud to support this charity, which offers young families’ critical resources such as prenatal education, high school programs with childminding, transportation assistance, and food support.
Local Drop-In Centre in Calgary
Recently, the Compugen Calgary team came together to volunteer at the Calgary Drop-In Centre, a crucial community hub that provides support for individuals experiencing homelessness. Their contribution of time and effort highlights Compugen’s ongoing commitment to serving local communities and addressing important social issues.
Give a Breath 5K Movement
Compugen teams in Edmonton, Toronto, and Vancouver united for the Give a Breath 5K, raising vital funds to support lung cancer research and programs for those affected by the illness. This year marks the event's fifth anniversary, with more than half a million dollars raised to date, showcasing the dedication of Compugen employees to making a tangible difference in the communities in which it operates.
Canuck Place Children's Hospice
In Vancouver, Compugen employees volunteered at Canuck Place Children's Hospice, working alongside staff to help maintain the beautiful gardens that serve as a serene and special space for families during their most difficult times. Internally the team turned an Amazing Race style team building activity into an opportunity to raise $9,000 for this amazing organization.
