[RICHMOND HILL, ON] January 15, 2025 — Compugen Inc., Canada’s largest privately-owned and operated Technology Ally, is proud to share the success of its annual WinterFest event series: part appreciation, part giving back to local causes and communities. These events brought together customers, partners, and staff to celebrate the season, reflect on shared accomplishments, and make a meaningful difference across Canada. While the WinterFest series has been known as "Winter Mixers" for the past three years, Compugen's tradition of supporting local communities during the holiday season spans more than a decade
This year, through the collective generosity of everyone who contributed their time, energy, and resources, more than $30,000 was raised to support local charities, along with countless hours of volunteer service.
The impact of this year’s Winter Mixers was made possible by the unwavering support of our community. Highlights included:
Montreal: $17,000 donated to Moisson Montréal, complemented by staff who volunteered their time.
Vancouver: $3,500 contributed to Canuck Place Children’s Hospice, adding to $9,000 raised earlier in the year and presented during the event.
Ottawa: $4,000 was raised for the Snowsuit Fund, along with staff who stepped up to volunteer.
Southwestern Ontario (Waterloo): $1,300 donated to the Food Bank of Waterloo Region.
Richmond Hill: Proceeds benefited the Richmond Hill Food Bank, with staff collecting over 100 toys for local families through a holiday toy drive.
Calgary: $2,000 donated to The Calgary Food Bank.
Edmonton: $2,000 raised for Edmonton’s Food Bank.
Regina: Contributions were made to The Regina Foodbank.
Across the country, Compugen staff members went beyond financial contributions, volunteering their time in Montreal, Vancouver, Ottawa, and beyond to support these several meaningful causes. Their dedication, paired with the support of partners and customers, has left a lasting impact from coast to coast.
This year’s Winter Mixers are a testament to Compugen’s commitment to collaboration, compassion, and community.
“As we look back on 2024, we’re filled with gratitude for everyone who joined us in making a difference — whether through a donation, volunteer hours, or simply showing up to support these events,” says Stéphan. “Together, we’ve demonstrated what’s possible when people unite for a common purpose.”
Thank you to everyone who contributed to the success of this year’s Winter Mixers!
