Compugen, one of Canada’s top IT solutions and services providers, has added TROY Group solutions to their portfolio. As an Authorized Reseller of TROY solutions, Compugen will act as a preferred sales and distribution channel throughout Canada. Alongside their Managed Print Services (MPS), professional services, and hardware & software management, Compugen will now offer Magnetic Ink Character Recognition (MICR) cheque printing solutions to reduce businesses’ risk to cheque fraud.

As the only manufacturer of the world’s most fraud-resistant MICR toner, TROY also enhances secure HP printers for use in secure cheque printing workflows. TROY solutions are designed to make cheque printing easy with an all-inclusive solution.

Jon Patterson, Director, Managed Print Solutions said, “We are thrilled to offer our customers an easier, more secure way to print cheques. Our goal is to work with organizations and help them find simple solutions to complex issues. This year most organizations have had to make changes to accommodate working from anywhere, and we cannot forget that this includes printing. TROY solutions include software, hardware, and anti-tamper toner to help our customers secure not only their network but the printed cheque, as well. TROY takes the time to understand each client’s specific needs and help us tailor a solution to meet their unique needs.”

Partnering with Compugen was a natural fit, stated Myra Flynn, Channel Sales Manager for TROY. “We often talk with IT teams, for both pre-sales and post-sales support. Aligning with Compugen expands our mission to help businesses reduce their fraud risks. We see a lot of security gaps and IT teams can help us uncover those gaps. We’re pleased to expand our offering further into the Canadian market with a strong partner.”

TROY’s solutions further reduce fraud risks by enabling full cheque output on blank cheque stock. Preprinted cheque stock becomes a theft risk, even from internal staff, since the bank account details are already on the cheques. Now, Compugen clients will be able to print their logo, business information, payee, amount, and MICR line at the time of printing.

“We look forward to leveraging TROY’s expertise with cheque printing audits to help assess clients’ workflows, looking for fraud risks and ways to streamline the process,” noted Jon Patterson.
