Gearing up for a new generation of young technology professionals
Compugen is thrilled to announce the launch of its Campus Internship Program for 2023. Now in its second year, the program welcomes students at the undergraduate level from colleges and universities across Canada interested in jumpstarting their careers in IT. Aimed at developing a new generation of young professionals in technology, the campus gives interns front-row access to the industry and allows them to make significant contributions to some of the organization’s most pioneering projects.
The Campus Internship Program helps the organization identify and cultivate a pipeline of future talent for core business areas while taking advantage of fresh perspectives, new ideas, and novel ways of approaching and solving problems. Last year, the inaugural program received over 700 applications and conducted close to 100 interviews to select 20 interns who learned from experienced industry leaders under the Compugen roof and gained valuable insight into the many strategic areas of the business through 14 Speaker Series sessions and fireside chats. The nationwide pool spanned all institutes of higher education from UBC Sauder School of Business in Vancouver to the University of Toronto. The 2021 cohort led to one permanent offer and several contracts extended for the program’s top performers.
This year, interns have a selection of opportunities to choose from as they take their first steps toward a career in IT – business process, digital experience, modern workspace consulting, inventory planning, and project management, to name a few. During their 16-week internship, students will meaningfully engage with different teams and departments, build connections with colleagues, and gain first-hand training from our leaders on various technology practices. Recruitment will be conducted between February and March, followed by the spring program from May to August.
